Residents of Dr Beyers Naude Local Municipality say no to the changing of your town names.
- The Dr Beyers Naude Local Municipality mentioned in a council meeting that they want to change the name of Graaff-Reinet and three other towns in the vicinity.
The municipality wants to change the names of the following towns:
- Nieu-Bethesda
- Graaff-Reinet
- Aberdeen
- Jansenville
How will AfriForum solve the problem or what will you do?
- We will participate in the public meetings and/or submit objections and/or petitions or make sure that it takes place.
- If the names still change we can submit a review application afterwards if processes were not followed or irregularities occurred.
